Welcome to Sky Ops Shooting Club.Our goal is to provide a safe, structured environment for sport shooting while supporting members in achieving and maintaining their dedicated status. We value your participation and look forward to helping you grow in the sport.

Please review the information below to ensure full compliance with club policies.

Range packages
.22 League

Membership & Requirements

Upon payment of your annual membership fee, you will receive:

- A logbook to record all your shoots
- A rulebook including an open-book exam (to be completed within 30 days)

To complete your membership:
A clear copy of your ID must be submitted for:

- Club Card
- Confirmation Letter
- Open-book exam processing

Important notes:

- Endorsement letters will only be processed once all required documents are received
- Renewal members are not required to retake the open-book exam

Participation & Scoring

Members can earn points through the following:

Practice Sessions
-
2 points per session
- Minimum of 50 rounds required

Club Shoots
-
5 points per session
- Held every Sunday

Prohibited Actions
-
To maintain fairness and safety, the following is not permitted:

  • Registering or signing up on behalf of another member
  • Accumulating points more than once per day
  • Attending a club shoot without the required equipment
  • Claiming both supervised/practice session points and club shoot points on the same day
  • Shooting on behalf of another member
Any fraudulent or illegal activity may result in immediate removal from the club and possible legal action.

Required Equipment

All members must have the following to participate:

  • Self-defense or sport shooting firearm
  • Paddle holster with magazine pouch or sport holster
  • Internal holsters are not permitted
  • Safety eyewear
  • Hearing protection (earmuffs only)
  • Minimum of 2 magazines (3 recommended)

Required Equipment

  • Members with newly purchased firearms must notify the club before shooting
  • Ammunition is not stored on-site—please arrange in advance
  • Firearms may only be handled when on the shooting line
  • The designated Safe Area must be used for clearing or exchanging firearms
  • Firearms must remain holstered or in a gun box when not in use
  • Movement with a firearm is only permitted if:
    - It is holstered or in a gun box
    - No magazine is inserted

Range Safety Procedures

Required Equipment

  • Sign the range register
  • Wear safety eyewear and earmuffs

Shooting Commands

  • Load and Make Ready
    Load your firearm while keeping your finger off the trigger
  • Shooter Ready
    Assume the required position
  • Stand By
    Await the start signal
  • Engage
    Proceed with the course of fire

After Shooting

  • Keep your finger off the trigger and bring the firearm to your chest
  • Remove the magazine
  • On command: “Show clear”
    -
    Rack the firearm twice to confirm it is empty
  • Dry fire while pointing at the target
  • Holster the firearm
  • Wait for the Range Officer to declare the range clear

Range Etiquette
  • All members must assist with target patching
    - This excludes the shooter and the Range Officer
  • First offense: verbal warning
  • Second offense: possible removal from the cluba

Endorsement Process

  • To apply for an endorsement letter:
    - A minimum of 30 points must be achieve
    - Your logbook must be presented when applying
  • Processing details:
    - Endorsements are processed within 72 hours
    - Applications are submitted to ITA
  • Important deadlines:
    - Applications should be submitted before the end of October
    - This allows for CFR’s 90-working-day processing period
  • Membership notes:
    - Membership expires annually on 1 January

    Renewal is required to maintain dedicated status
